Obituary Condolences

MANACK, EDITH DeDOMINICIS Edith Manack, 96, of Valrico, FL, formerly of Torrington, died July 3, 2014 after suffering a stroke. She was born Dec. 3, 1917 in Troy, New York, and graduated from Torrington High School in 1935. Edith was one of nine children born to the late Antonio and Giaela (Inforzata) DeDominicis. Edith worked at the Torrington Company and also in several medical offices before moving to Florida in 1993. She was an avid gardener and decorator. She was also a fifty-two-year breast cancer survivor. Mrs. Manack was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-two years, Edmond Manack, and her son, Wayne. Her survivors include four sons: Gary (Patricia) of Brandon, FL, Ronald (Therese) of Leesburg, FL, Richard of Winsted, CT, and Alan (Eileen) of Long Beach, CA. Edith leaves behind eight grandchildren: David Manack (Erica) of Odessa, FL, Gregory Manack of Casablanca, Morocco, Lisa Camolilla (Christopher) of Davenport, FL, Rita Spears (Steve) of Sorrento, FL, James Manack of Fort Pierce, FL, Jason Manack (Karen) of Long Beach, CA, Jenice Clarke (Aaron) of Long Beach, CA, and Aubrey Adams (Glenn) of Newport Beach, CA. Survivors also include nine great-grandchildren: Emma Spears, Ava Spears, Mya Clarke, Henry Clarke, Kai Manack, Kalinda Manack, Tatyana Manack, Masen Manack, and William Adams. Also surviving are a sister, Elaine Saporite of Torrington, a brother-in-law, Raymond Manack (Eleanor) of Follansbee, WV, a sister-in-law, Dolores Manack of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by seven siblings: Mary DeAngelis, Tranquil DeDominicis, Alice Bronzi, Rose DiPippo, Willie DeDominicis, Annette Gura, and Nancy Garnsey. A memorial service will be held at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon, FL at the convenience of the family.
