Lois was born May 15, 1932, in Midland, S.D., to John and Ida Oviatt.
In the early 1940s the family moved to Lakeview, and later to Cottage Grove where Lois graduated from high school.
In 1952 Lois married Verden Wheeler. They moved to Harbor, where they lived for 60 years.
Lois is survived by her husband, Verden of Harbor; sons: Wayne and Jon of Springfield; grandchildren -- whom she loved unconditionally with all her heart -- Drew, Austin, Sarah, Dylan, and Jackson, all of the Eugene-Springfield area.
Her siblings Pat, Don, Jack, Dot, and Karol all preceded her in death.
At her request no service is planned.

Lois was the greatest mom a kid or grown man could ever ask for.Thank you for always being there for us. We will miss your presence but you will always be with us.
