We are sorry to hear of Hans passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Hans Family and friends. Hans was a co-worker and good friend. He was a help in times of need and generous in heart and mind.
Thank you, Hans for the two beautiful pictures that you took with your camera and gave, as a retirement gift. You will always be remembered. God bless.

What a wonderful addition Hans was to my life. I met him through a mutual friend, and from there, the three of us bonded and shared many great experiences. Not the least of which, was an excellent adventure road trip from Eugene to St. Louis, back in 1995, after Hans had graduated the U. of O. The highlight of that trip, if there was just one, was the most incredible thunderstorm and subsequent double rainbow we all witnessed together in the Badlands of S. Dakota, followed by an evening of calm winds while watching distant lightning strikes and thunder rumbling, far away on the horizon, all 360 degrees around us--a truly magical evening. I always had so much respect and awe for Hans' creative energy, vision, and drive--and he inspired my creative energies on many occasions. I will miss him dearly, and he will inspire me forever. All my love and comfort to his family. Matt Feinberg

Here I am, having trouble finding the right words to say this morning. The obituary your wrote for dear Hans was simply beautiful Alison. He was an amazing man and will be missed more than he ever could have known. While my heart is saddened at mourning his loss, it is warmed at celebrating his life.

Though words are never adequate for such a loss, his sister's words come close to capturing the wonder that was Hans.
