Gail Anderson of Eugene, Oregon passed away October 1 of renal failure. She was 76. Gail was born in Kewanee, Illinois on May 18, 1935 to Fred and Odette Metz. She was married to John Anderson of Bishop Hill, Illinois on October 3, 1953.

Survivors include John Anderson, her husband of 58 years; her daughter, Linda Barnes of Springfield, OR; son, Jack Anderson of Eugene, OR; her beloved cat, Patches; three grandchildren: Jesica Brennan of San Francisco, CA; Jaclyn Lang and Jillian Barnes of Eugene, OR; one great-granddaughter, Parker Lang of Eugene, OR; sister Jeanne Metz and brother Tom Metz of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

We sat there...I, holding Gail's hand, my arm around her...my head in her lap.... Linda noted that she thought her mighty heart had stopped and together we watched Gail take her last mortal breath.....her suffering over. This moment will be forever in my heart for all the remaining days of my life.... and yes, little Sis, I will write your term papers for you throughout eternity. I love you. Jeanne
