Rae Bonar

Barbara Rae Bonar, 74, passed away October 30, 2018. She was born in Kansas City, MO on August 14, 1944 and adopted on August 15, 1944 by loving parents Ray and Edythe (Langdon) Ames. She was adored by her parents who could not have felt more blessed to have her as their daughter. She lived in a number of places growing up as her dad pastored in different churches including Somerton, AZ, San Francisco, CA & Salem, OR. She graduated from Salem Academy High School in 1962 and attended Judson Baptist College.

She married Richard Bonar September 04, 1965, and the couple had three children. Her family meant everything to her, their joy was hers. She loved to watch a good ball game especially if she was cheering on her children. She was their biggest fan. Barbara was also dedicated to her church and spent 20+ years as a custodian for Twin Rivers Church in Springfield while also caretaking for many children over her working years.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard, daughter Karyn (Mick) Dougharity, sons; Kent (Kristie) Bonar and Kurtis (Cindy) Bonar, grandchildren; Mick, Brynna, Zachary, Halle, Walker, Bodie, and Dawson. The family would like to extend a huge thank you & much gratitude to the staff at Elder Health & Living who took great care of Barbara during her final year of life. Also, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's Foundation ([http://www.parkinson.org)]www.parkinson.org), or (www.michaeljfox.org) can be made.
