Betty June Bishop passed away in her home on August 28, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born in Fairbury, Nebraska October 6, 1926 to parents George and Elsie Graham. Betty's family relocated to Springfield in her early teenage years. She graduated from Springfield High School.

She began her working career at a bakery on Main Street in Springfield and then the bank on 7th and Main Street. It was while working as a teller that she met and then married a handsome veteran, Frank Delmer Bishop. Five children were born of that union: Charlene, Vernon, Michael, Debra and Gloria. She enjoyed her ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her son, Michael; and grandchildren: Kimberly and Dustin.

After years of lovingly raising her children, Betty re-entered the workforce with a job at the Springfield Post Office. She worked there for 21 years and retired at the age of 61.

Betty loved to travel and went as far as Alaska to Washington D.C. enjoying people all along the way. She had a warm and loving personality that drew people to her. She was a faithful member of Northwood Christian Church and DAR. Her lovely personality will be missed by her family and everyone who met her.

There will be a viewing at Major Family Funeral Home, 112 North A Street, Springfield, Oregon between 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th. Celebration of Life will be at Northwood Christian Church 2425 Harvest Lane, Springfield at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th.
