June 25, 1952 - September 27, 2018

Betty Ann (Little, Lund) Schiele passed away peacefully on September 27th, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was 66 years old.

Betty was born on June 25, 1952, in Eugene Oregon, and received loving parents in Zonie and Chrystal Little. She was a vibrant youth, excelling at her roller skating competitions at the national level and living life to the fullest. She later married Jack Lund, Sr. in December of 1968 and started a family. Jack and Betty shared many years together, watching their children Jack Jr. and Melissa grow, and enjoying the outdoors during long camping and hunting trips to beautiful Oregon surroundings.

Jack and Betty later divorced and Betty spent the following years raising her children and enjoying life until she met and fell in love with Terry Schiele in 1992. She was married for the subsequent 20+ years to Terry and gained a step-son, Nate. Terry and Betty once again pursued the beauty of the outdoors with lengthy camping and fishing in the Oregon outback. She and Terry later divorced in 2016, but remained very good friends.

Betty loved spending time with friends and family, taking her grandsons Josh and Dane camping, and sharing her warmth and spirit with everyone she came in contact with. Betty enjoyed the special bond she had with her daughter Melissa. Melissa was by her side and ever vigilant, to keep her spirits lifted, and to ensure the highest quality care during Betty's declining health. She also loved her elderly cat, Miss Bea, who she adopted from Greenhill Human Society and planned to live out their golden years together.

Betty is survived by her children Melissa (Jesse) Woods and Jack Jr. (Tracy) Lund, 5 grandchildren: Josh, Dane, Taylor, Madison, and Kaitlyn, Miss Bea, many extended family members, and loving and devoted friend Terry Schiele.

Betty's wishes are being followed. After the requested time was allowed to pass, Betty was cremated, and will be eventually placed gently into the Caribbean ocean. No services are planned, and anyone wishing to pay respects may donate to the Greenhill Humane Society in her name.
