
Crystal Hentze Marvin was born October 26, 1960 to John and Carla Whillock Hentze in Junction City, Oregon. She passed away June 4, 2012 in Petaluma, California.
Crystal was a graduate of Junction City High School in Oregon, and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University.
She is survived by her husband Brian of 27 years; her daughter Melinda Marvin Gray of Stockton, CA; her father John Hentze of Junction City, OR; two brothers: Wesley and James of Junction City, OR; four sisters: Valerie Bond of Woodbridge, VA, Teresa Hentze and Sandra Hentze of Eugene, OR, and Kate Vandehei of Riverdale, UT.
Crystal was raised in Junction City OR and met her husband Brian in Coos Bay, OR during his first Coast Guard assignment. She supported her country as a career military spouse living in Virginia, New Jersey, Indiana, Connecticut, Oregon, Kansas, and California. Crystal enjoyed sewing, reading and music and was a member of the local community band. She was a caring and sensitive woman who found joy in simple pleasures including cats, walks and family. Her greatest accomplishment was raising her sparkling daughter Mindy. Despite a passion for healthy living, Crystal succumbed to a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.
