David A Culver passed away on September 6, 2018 after a 12-year battle with cancer. His sons, Christopher Culver, Curt Culver and 20-year Partner, Sandra Fichtner, provided 24/7 care his last months.

Dave was born August 2, 1948 in Salem, the 2nd of four sons, to parents Archie and Helen (Kelley) Culver. The family moved to Silverton in 1952 where Dave attended Public Schools and graduated at the age of 17 from Silverton High School. He was proud of being elected Sr. Class President, playing Baseball for four years and earning Varsity Letters two of those years, and for being his Middle school Chess Champion in 1962. He attended the U of O and went on to a 30-year profession in the Financial Services industry where he retired in 1997 as the CEO of a Local Credit Union. After 2 years of R & R, he formed Culver Tax Services LLC, and kept that endeavor until his death.

Dave's primary interests besides work, included golf, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He was a 41-year member of the Springfield Elks Lodge #2145. He was a member of the Oregon Society of Tax Consultants and was also a longtime member of the Silverton High Alumni Association.

He is survived by his Partner, Sandra Fichtner, sons, Christopher D. Culver of Eugene, Curtis D. Culver (Stephanie) of Harrisburg; grandsons, Austin Culver and Dylan Culver, and his three brothers, Mitchell Culver (Katie) of Silverton, Arthur Culver of Salem, and Paul Culver (Debra) of Mt. Angel. Interment will be held with a private family service in Salem. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Eugene, OR.
