Jim passed away on October 3rd, 2018 after a long illness, he was 63 years of age. Jim was born July 13th, 1955 in Boise, Idaho to Burman A. Banks Sr. and Patricia Joan Banks. They moved to Springfield Oregon in January 1969 and a remained a resident of Eugene/Springfield until his passing.

Jim was a painter by trade and loved watching his Oregon Ducks and Kansas City Chiefs football teams. An avid outdoorsman, he loved the hunting and fishing the Northwest had to offer, but his biggest love was fishing. Mainly the McKenzie, Willamette Rivers for salmon and Central Oregon Lakes.

Jim was preceded in death by Burman A. Banks Sr. (father) Pat Banks (brother) and is survived by his life partner Judy Jones, Patricia "Joan" Banks (mother) Bernie A. Banks Jr. (brother) Kevin Banks (brother) Darren Banks (brother) and nephews Kyle Banks, Heath Banks, David Banks, Austin Banks and Jordan Banks. No services are planned at Jim's request.
