Janis Opal Jennings passed away on August 10, 2013 of natural causes at age 92. She was born on September 15, 1920 to Clyde and Maggie Gump in Otis, Colorado. Janis was married at age 19 in Rockport, Missouri on December 31st, 1939 to Arnold Warren Jennings, her husband of 73 years. They had two children: Terry Dale (deceased), and Ricky Dean. Janis loved dogs (especially poodles), and enjoyed many travels and adventures throughout her life with Arnold. Her eternal joy was always in loving and devoting herself to her husband, Arnold, and in raising their two children together. We will all remember her as she truly was: a loving wife, mother and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold W. Jennings; son, Ricky; and daughter-in-law, Cathy, of California; sister, Muriel Rhoden of Glenwood, Iowa; and nephew, Rodney Rhoden of Omaha NB; brother, Dale Gump, of Eugene, OR; and his daughters: Cathy and Patty; niece, Val Rae Jones, and her husband, Frank, of Coburg, OR; and their son, Tim, of Eugene, OR.
