JoAlice Sutley Walder, of Eugene Oregon passed away on August 7, 2018. Born April 27, 1955 to Eileen & James Sutley, JoAlice attended Ida Patterson GS, Jefferson JrHS, Churchill HS and also took classes at Lane Community College. JoAlice was adopted after high school by her aunt & uncle, Maxine & Victor Walder.

A lifetime bookkeeper, JoAlice took great pride in her work as part of the staff at Victor R. Walder & Company, Emge & Whyte, and she later formed her own business, Paladin Works helping many local small businesses with their day to day bookkeeping needs.

JoAlice was a lifetime member of the Eugene Yacht Club where she took care of their bookkeeping & other administrative needs for many years. She truly loved being part of the EYC and was also the informal club historian.

While growing up and living in Eugene, JoAlice also spent many joyful weekends in Yachats, Oregon where her family had weekend homes over the years. She especially enjoyed the winter storms and could spend hours watching the waves break while reading her favorite novels and playing board games with family.

JoAlice is survived by her mother Eileen Sutley, of Eugene, her brother Michael Walder, his wife Jill and their children Christin and Aaron of Honolulu, Hawaii.

A celebration of life for friends and family will be held for JoAlice at the Eugene Yacht Club on Thursday, September 20th from 5pm - 8pm.
