John (Jack) Albert Podawiltz

In Loving Memory

1932 - 2013

Jack Podawiltz of Florence, Oregon, passed away at his home on March 27, 2013. He was born on April 22, 1932 in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Alan and Ann Podawiltz.

Jack worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Klamath Falls and transferred to Eugene in 1968. After retiring Jack and his wife Joy moved to Florence, Oregon.

Jack enjoyed summertimes at Triangle Lake, camping, boating, skiing with his kids and grandkids. Always making sure everyone was having a good time. He was the star of the show at family gatherings showing off with his famous Russian Dance.

He is survived by his wife, Joy; sons, Alan Podawiltz, William Podawiltz, Bryan Podawiltz; daughter, Danise Jameison; step-son, David Pippin; and step-daughter Gayle Price. He has 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings: Joe Podawiltz, Al Podawiltz, Betty Went, Bonny Fowler and June Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Florence. Private interment will be held at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene.
