Dear Lance, our beloved son,

You left us in deep, abiding sorrow. You were a loving son, brother, friend, and consummate father. Sensitivity and constant love were your best attributes. Your smile and strong hugs will be missed. Family was your focus; especially loving your sons: Carter Roy Willis and Aidan Reynolds Willis. They love you!

Here's what you enjoyed in life. You played football and tennis at Sheldon High School and graduated from the U of O. You enjoyed traveling to new places after we introduced you and your sister, Dawn, to adventures in other countries. When you became a father, you exposed your sons to mountain biking, hiking, swimming, fishing, camping, skiing, cliff jumping, and all kinds of adventurous activities. You coached their teams in soccer and baseball. Their happiness was your goal. You encouraged them to study, to remember the good times and to have fun.

You cooked and kept a clean home just like your mama. In your professional career, you were a super star rising to higher and higher levels of success, closing larger and larger deals for several health care diagnostic companies. Your work ethic came from both your mother and father's examples.

We, your parents, Jim and Linda Willis; your sister, Dawn Willis; your sons, Carter Roy, Aidan Reynolds; your former wife, Tracie Willis; and all of your extended family and friends wish you an out of this world experience in the arms of Jesus and our ancestors. It's just a matter of time until we meet again. You must be having a great time and now you know, "heaven is for real."

Hey Lance, we are having an Hawaiian celebration in your honor on Saturday, August 25 at 2 PM. Garden Way Church, 231 N. Garden Way, Eugene, OR 97401. Lots of your loved ones and friends will wear Hawaiian shirts or dresses. We remember how much you loved Hawaii!

Our Love,

Mom, Dad, Dawn, Carter, Aidan, Tracie, all the Bankes,

Shoemaker, Willis clans and your many friends and relatives.

Contributions in your memory will go to:
