Mary Patricia "Pat" Heinrich of Eugene, Oregon, passed away on August 24, 2018 at the age of 96. She was born Nov 15, 1921 to James and Edna (Sullivan) Reinard in Salt Lake City, UT. She was the second of three dearly loved daughters. She moved to Portland, OR when she was 2 years old. Pat graduated from Commerce High School in Portland in 1939. She married Robert Heinrich on Dec 5, 1942 in Louisville, KY. After WWII, they and son James moved to Hillsboro. They had four more children: Kathleen, JoAnn, John, and Jeannie. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Pat worked as an executive secretary in Portland. She later moved to Salem, where she was the executive secretary to the Oregon State Archivist until retirement. She moved to Eugene in 1991 to be near her children.

In 2008, Pat moved to Churchill Estates, where she realized her childhood dreams of having her hair done every week, her meals prepared for her, someone to vacuum for her, and being able to play cards with her friends as long as they wished.

She loved art, dancing, reading, astrology, pinochle, and gadgets of all types. She read every manual cover to cover. She was a skilled seamstress for family, friends, and once outfitted an entire convent. She was a member of Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by her children James (Dulce); JoAnn (Dennis) Durfee; Jeannie (Joel) Shank; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her older sister Maureen, younger sister Denice, daughter Kathleen, and son John.

A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eugene on Monday, September 10, 2018, at 11am.

Our family thanks each and every person at Churchill Estates for the happiness Mom enjoyed during her residence. The gentle and kind care they gave Mom was a blessing.
