Michael Harbour crossed over from this life and into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 11, 2018, in Eugene, Oregon, at the age of 73. He was born on December 24, 1944, in West Covina, California, to Merle & Irene (Thornberry) Harbour, the oldest of five siblings. His parents moved the family to Walterville, Oregon in 1947, and to Eugene a few years later. Mike attended Willakenzie Grade School, and Cal Young Junior High, and graduated from North Eugene High School in 1963. He attended the University of Oregon for one year and Multnomah School of the Bible for one year and then enlisted in the Air Force in February, 1966. He married his high school sweetheart, Janet Reber on September 24, 1966, in Eugene, while home on leave. They lived in North Pole, Alaska for two years and Great Falls, Montana for one year. Mike received an honorable discharge and they moved back to Eugene in 1970. He went back to school and received an Associate Degree in Aviation Maintenance from Lane Community College. Mike worked as a cabinetmaker and shop manager for Reber's Woodcraft. He performed Building Maintenance for First Baptist Church and First United Methodist Church. His final nineteen working years were spent as Building Operations Technician (HVAC, etc.) at the Citizens Building in downtown Eugene, before he retired in 2008.

Mike enjoyed many things: music (especially Classical), photography, rock-hounding, beach trips, camping at Big Cultus Lake, waterskiing, gardening, spending time with family and friends, donating blood (over 120 units), to name a few.

His greatest joy was found in serving the Lord. He was very involved in church life. He was a member of Conservative Baptist churches for much of his life, and had been a member of the Eugene Alliance Church since 2008. He loved working with children and young people, leading singing, running sound, reading and studying his Bible, spending time in prayer and talking to people about the Lord.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jan; brothers, Terry (Carolee) of Roseburg, Oregon and Dennis (Karen) of Springfield, Oregon; nine nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Patricia Harbour Morris, his brother Timothy Harbour, and his nephew Jason Morris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the Eugene Alliance Church, 490 Howard Avenue. A private interment was held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Springfield. If anyone wishes to honor Mike's memory, please do a kind deed for someone, give a gift to or contribute to The Eugene Mission, The Gideons, or Child Evangelism Fellowship.
