Richard S. Boettcher, 90, formerly of Eugene, OR, died at a Memory Care Center in Milwaukie, OR, on March 26, 2018. Richard (known by his family and friends as Dick) was born on February 10, 1928, in Columbus, NE, and attended high school in Klamath Falls, OR. He was stationed in Tokyo, Japan, after the end of World War Two, graduated from the University of Oregon and taught High School Personal Finance in Cottage Grove, OR. He worked for Selco Credit Union from 1965 to 1990, retiring as CEO.

Dick spent his retirement years in Arizona enjoying golf and travel. He was moved back to Oregon by his family due to an age-related illness in 2016.

He is survived by his two sons, Denis Whittet (Debbie) of Gladstone, OR, and Doug Whittet (Karen) of Ontario, OR, and two granddaughters, Allie Whittet of Boise, ID and Hannah McKay (Jake) of Gladstone, OR.

Dick will be interred at a private family service in Paul, ID, at a future date.
