Markie, I cannot imagine the grief that is washing over you now. I never met Tammy in person, but we talked over the phone for years, ever since Joe died. I was her Hospice grief counselor. We always tried to get together, but either her health or my schedule got in the way. I regret this now so much. There was something about your mother that drew me to her. I remember one day I called her and it happened to be the day your first daughter was born. She cried on the phone because she was so happy for herself, yet so sad that Joe could not be there to witness this blessed event. I found she was always interested in me and never seemed to dwell on her own problems. How did she keep such a sunny disposition? I am so very sorry for your loss. Please do not hesitate to contact hospice in Beaverton for grief support, should you feel the need. I retired the end of May. I clearly know your mother loved you very deeply, Markie. My condolences to you and your family in the coming months. Keep breathing...

Tammy,
I will always remember you for the shine in your eyes and your vibrant laughter... how thrilled you were to become a grandmother... the parties I attended you had for those you love... a California beach from long ago... and cookie exchanges. You will be missed by those who call you Sister, Daughter, Aunt and Friend. I shall be among them...
