Lowell Langan of Eugene, Oregon passed away on September 18, 2018 at the age of 73. He was born December 12, 1944 in Eugene, Oregon to John and Elona Langan. He attended Willakenzie Grade school & Cal Young Junior High. He graduated from North Eugene H.S. in 1963 and attended vocational training at LCC. He married his high school sweetheart, Donnamarie Aldal, on Oct. 12, 1963 in Eugene, Oregon. He spent most of his life as an auto & R.V. technician. He was a partner in an auto salvage company for a few years. He retired in 2008 to make more time for family hunting trips. He bonded with his family with a lifetime full of camping, hunting, fishing and family vacations. His favorite place to camp was Wallowa Lake. Lowell was a Cub Master, Asst. Scoutmaster, Royal Ranger leader, helped build a booth for the Girl Scouts (Troop 27) for the Scandinavian Festival.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Donnamarie, children, Barbara (David) Thompson of St. Helens, OR, Steven (Laneva) Langan of Junction City, OR, Vernon (Maureen) Langan of Blue River, OR, and Mark (Jennifer) Langan of Eugene, OR. 19 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren. 3 brothers Richard (Pat), Dennis & George, 1 sister Carol Pomes. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Elona, 2 sisters Ida Mae & Marguerite, and 2 brothers John & Neil. He was a member of Bethel Community Church in Eugene OR. He loved serving the Lord and spending time with his church family. Lowell loved working in his garden, but most of all he loved his family and the time spent with everyone.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 13, at 11 a.m. Bethel Community Church, 2600 Wood Ave., Eugene, Oregon (97402). A BBQ/potluck will follow the service.
