GEORGE D. DEATON
WEST ALEXANDRIA — George D. Deaton, 55, of West Alexandria, passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born Sept. 13, 1958 in Dayton to Wally and Lorna Lee. George was a 1976 graduate of West Carrollton High School; he was a member of the V.F.W and American Legion both of Camden; was a member of Christ Commission Temple, Camden; and was employed at Ohio Slitting and Storage, Camden.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Lori Deaton of West Alexandria; parents Wally and Lorna Lee of West Carrollton; sons Dustin Brown and Matthew Deaton both of West Alexandria; daughter Amber (Brian) Forer of Englewood; grandchildren Laylah and Dallas; sisters Jody (James) Weist of Eaton and Leisa Lee; brother Don Lee of Milford; mother-in-law B.J. (Brian) Frost of Camden; father-in-law Lonnie (Reba) Brown of West Alexandria; sisters-in-law Lisa (Andy) Meadors of Camden and Leslie (Josh) Frost of Eaton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his four-legged canine companion Buddy.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 from noon until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. at the Christ Commission Temple, 155 North Main Street, Camden, OH 45311 with Pastor Larry Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the church or Hospice of Dayton.
