WILLIAM E. KILLEN

EATON — William E. Killen, 67, of Eaton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.

He was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Dixon Township, Preble County, to the late Virgil and Lexie (Moore) Killen. Bill was born and raised in Eaton and graduated from Eaton High School in 1965. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion Post #215, Eaton. He owned and currently operated D&B Design and Sales in Troy.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diana Hale Killen of Eaton; son Scott (Nikki) Killen of Wilmington; daughter Melissa Holbrook of Eaton; grandchildren T.J., Tanner, Taylor, Gwen, Paige and Kyleigh; sisters Carol Smith of Fresno, California, Rita (Stanley) Paulas of Clovis, California, Karen (Stanley) Cole of West Alexandria, Patsy (Tom) Wall of Clovis, California, and Robin (John) Walsh of Pismo Beach, California; brother Jeff (Darlene) Killen of Eaton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, with Rev. Lowell Spencer officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the funeral home.
