Cecil E. Gehron, 84, of New Hope (Eaton), went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday night, Nov. 13, 2012.

Born in Germantown, he was a son of the late Richard & Ada (Mercer) Gehron. Mr. Gehron served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1948-1952. A member of the UAW, he retired from Delco Products in Moraine after 33 ½ years. He was a longtime, devoted member of the New Hope United Methodist Church serving on several boards including the Board of Trustees; and was also a member of American Legion Post 215 of Eaton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Maggie (Hartman) Gehron on Sept. 6, 2008; stepfather Perry Stevens; half brothers Kenneth Stevens in 1998 and Willard Stevens & wife Audrey, both in 2011.

Cecil will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by children Kathy Koeller; Carol Johnson & husband Sam; and Danny Gehron, all of New Hope; grandchildren Angie (Corey) Webb of Anderson, Indiana; Casey (Christina) Koeller of Eaton; Ed Johnson and Carly Johnson both of New Hope; great-grandchildren Madison, Bailee, Mia, Zachary, Killian and Carter;: 10 half brothers and sisters; sister-in-law Eva Busby of Eaton; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and great neighbors.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 19, at the New Hope United Methodist Church, New Hope with Pastor Brady Feltz presiding. Interment was in Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
