Dennis Ballinger, 80, of Camden, passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at The Greenbriar in Eaton.
Born on June 11, 1932 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky he was the son of the late Eddie Lee & Lona (Abney) Ballinger. Dennis served in the U.S. Marines during the Korea War and worked for American Aggregates in Middletown. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty W. (Newton) Ballinger in 1998; twin brothers: Roy and Robert L. Ballinger; brothers: Mitchell, Virgil, Leonard, Casper; Hobart Ballinger and Charlie Ballinger in 2010; sisters: Edith Helard and Mary Lou Clark; half-sisters: Myrkie Ann Ballinger and Dorothy Shepherd in 2012; step brothers: Joe McNally and Ed Clark.
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law: Terry & Erica Ballinger of Camden; brother: Marion Ballinger of Hamilton; grandchildren: Hope & Kennedy Ballinger; devoted nephew: Keith E. Ballinger of Eaton; sisters-in-law: Hazel Ballinger of Ross; Thelma Ballinger of Orlando, KY; Alice E. Ballinger of Camden; Betty Ballinger of Eaton, and Lydia Ballinger of Richmond, IN; half-sisters: Belle Ballinger, Linda Montjoy, Betty Newcomb all of Mt. Vernon, KY; and Evelyne Rusk of Cincinnati; half-brothers: Bobby and Billy Ray Ballinger both of Hamilton, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, with Rev. Fred Schmidt officiating. Interment was in Somerville Cemetery, Somerville.
