Donald E. Krintzline

Donald E. Krintzline, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning Jan. 2, 2013, at Mercy Hospital Tiffin.

He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Camp Shelby, Mississippi, to Paul and Norma (Thomas) Krintzline. He married Linda Hawk January 5, 1974 in Republic, and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include two sons, Don S. Krintzline of Tiffin, Christopher (Kristi) Krintzline of Republic, four grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary, Aidan and Alex Krintzline, a sister, Linda (Larry) McMechan of Eaton, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Tiffin, the National Machinery Quarter Century Club, the Findlay Striders Running Club, and he ran in the 100th year of the Boston Marathon, placing in the top fourth, and a Vietnam Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, and outdoor activities. He also was a 1963 graduate of Brookville High School, and a 1968 graduate of the University of Dayton.

Don retired on Jan. 1, 2011 from National Machinery in Tiffin after working for 39 years as a design engineer.

Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 5, at the St. John's United Church of Christ in Tiffin, with Rev. Pam Easterday officiating. Burial followed at Farewell Retreat Cemetery in Republic. The United Veterans Council of Tiffin conducted military graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church, the University of Toledo Parkinson Clinic, or to the National Machinery Foundation.
