Dorothy Carpenter, 92, formerly of Camden, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton.
Born on March 25, 1920 in Glendale, she was the daughter of the late Virgil & Effie Mae (Crump) Elliott. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Carpenter in 1987; brothers, Delmer, Elmer, Roy and Lloyd Elliott; sisters, Mary Elliott, Vercie Chandler, Bertha Chandler and Grace Dunlap.
She is survived by her niece, Donna (Bruce) Westover of Eaton; nephews, Delmer A. (Wilma) Elliott of Middletown, Terry Elliott of West Alexandria, Rick Elliott of Middletown, William (Virginia) Elliott of Dayton, James (Sandy) Elliott of Eaton, David R. Elliott of Atlanta, GA and Ken (Kellie) Elliott of Eaton; numerous great nieces & nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be at noon, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, with Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton. Family will receive friends one hour prior on Thursday at the funeral home in Camden. Condolences via www.barnesfuneralhome.com.
