Janis I. O'Hara

Janis Iola O'Hara, 91, formerly of Eaton, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Otterbein of Middletown.

Born on Oct. 21, 1921 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. & Lula Helen (Rheuble) Kinner. Janis was a 1939 Jackson High School graduate, member of Campbellstown United Church of Christ, served as a Librarian at Jackson Twp. School and worked with the Preble County Red Cross. Janis served as President for the Jackson Twp. School PTA, active with various camping clubs, 4-H leader in Jackson Twp and worked at Your Flower Shop in Eaton for several years.

She was preceded by her husband of 73 years: Clayton L. O'Hara on April 2, 2013; brother: Estle "Bud" Kinner and sister: Fay Morgan.

She is survived by daughters: Barbara (Dave) Cox of Eaton, and Kathy Posey of Richmond, Indiana; son: Bob (Diane) O'Hara of Orlando, Florida; sister-in-law: Faye Kinner of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: David Cox, Dan Cox, Susan (John) Gosz, Janis O'Hara, Michael Sorah and Karen Sorah; great-grandchildren: Alexander Gosz and Riley Bridges; step- grandchildren: Jason (Amy) Posey and Jeff (Christina) Posey; step-great-grandchildren: Mara, Claire, Chase, Maddie and Matt Posey.

Celebration of Life was held at on Saturday, April 13, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, with Rev. Randall Harvey officiating. Inurnment for Janis and Clayton was held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton.
