Leland "Cork" Unger, 68, of Eaton, died suddenly Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at his home.
He was born June 11, 1944 in Greenville, to Thomas and Joan (Roberson) Unger. He was a graduate of Lewisburg High School. Mr. Unger served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for 43 years. He was a member of the James E. Ryan Post #322 American Legion. He was passionate about cars and was a member of the "Over The Hill Gang."
He is survived by his daughters, Dina Rancourt (John Weber) of Lebanon, Leslie (Roger) Newman, Birmingham, AL, six grandchildren, sister, Nanette (Tom) Fogt, Seiverville, TN, and brother, Trent (Diane) Unger, Lewisburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Heath O'Dell and Tommy Unger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in West Alexandria. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday night from 6-8 p.m.
