Marilyn Garver Carter, 81, of St Louis, Mo. went Home to her Savior on Feb. 12, 2013, surrounded by her children.
Marilyn was born in Germantown, on March 6, 1931. She spent her formative years in the Germantown area. As a beloved mother, she moved to St Louis, Missouri to raise her five children. After raising her children, Marilyn returned to Butler County and Preble County where she spent the next 20 years as a weaver and a shepherdess raising her "four-legged family." She competed successfully in the Preble County and Butler County fairs for many years with both her sheep and her woven items. Marilyn retired to St Louis in 1997.
Marilyn is survived by her children Kim (and Debbie) Fuller of Barnhart, Mo.; Catherine Fuller (and Richard Morton) of Lakewood, Ohio; David (and Cathy) Fuller of Fairfax Station, Va.; John (and Gloria) Carter and Andrew Carter all of Goose Creek, SC; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will hold a private memorial service in Tipp City. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Humane Society Farm and Animal Protection Program in her name are appreciated.
