Michael Herald Welcome, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
He was born April 24, 1946 in Dayton.
He is survived by his parents, Lois Marie England and Herald Henry (Janet) Welcome, brother Paul Welcome, loving wife Vicki Linn Welcome, three children April, Justin (Amy), Amanda, adopted granddaughter Amari, six other grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, Justin, Vaughn, Mercedes, and Keilinn, 10 in-laws, 12 nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Mike was a graduate of Madison Senior High School in Trotwood. He attended Sinclair College and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mike's career in the automotive industry began at the family business, Welcome Pontiac-Olds, GMC in Eaton Ohio, where he worked for his father and later took over as owner. He was the general manager of several dealerships, including Anderson Ford Lincoln Mercury. He ended his career in sales at New Castle Ford in December of 2010.
Mike was a kind, loving and honest man. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, football, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
His memorial service was held on Friday, May 3, at Culberson Funeral Home, 51 South Washington Street, Hagerstown Indiana. Pastor Amy Draves of Wesley Free Methodist Church of Anderson officiated.
