LEWISBURG — Howard Stedman, 89, of Lewisburg, born in St. Louis, Missouri on Jan. 20, 1925, died at Reid Hospital Richmond, Indiana on Feb. 18, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lottie (Banker) Stedman, brother Charles W. Stedman, sisters Florence Goins and Josephine Hapner.

He is survived by his wife of 67 yrs. Juanita (Rieske) Stedman, sons and wives, Howard Jr. and Teri Stedman, John and Dee Stedman, daughter Sharma Penix, sisters Winnie Oda, Barbara Feeser and sister-in-law Faye Davison, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Howard served in the Navy during WWII on an oil tanker in the South Pacific for 3 years. He retired from Delco Moraine in 1982 after 32 years service, the last department was Production Control. He loved camping near Brookville Lake in Indiana where he was head cook for special events and assisted the management, where he also made special friends.

Memorial service will be Saturday, April 12, at 1 p.m. at Community Church of Christ, 6264 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton, OH 45415. Casual dress requested.
