Louise Eliopoulos, 89, of Middletown passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012.
She was born in Eaton, on Dec. 10, 1922 the daughter of Stanley and Mattie Turman. Louise married James Eliopoulos on Dec. 30, 1949. She was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and was a member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. Louise worked with her husband at New Linden Lanes Bowling Alley for 28 years, retiring in 1992.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Lew) Rosenbloom of Mason and Kay (Tom) Sauer of Middletown; three grandchildren, Jimmy Lockard of California, Angela (Steve) D'Orazio of Cincinnati, and Michael (fiancee Melissa Sukys) Burton of Cincinnati; three great-grandchildren, Isaiah Lockard, and Alexis and Elena D'Orazio; a sister, Katherine (Glenn) McGraw; several beloved nieces and nephews; and extended family member Mary Lou Sauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eliopoulos; her parents; two brothers, Cecil and James Turman; and a sister, Pauline Toney.
Funeral services were held at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 2500 Grand Avenue, Middletown, on Wednesday, Oct. 24, with Fr. William Cassis officiating. Burial followed in Mound Cemetery in Eaton.
