ZIVANOVICH, Paul December 1908-August 2009 At 100 years of age dad was able to live in his own home until recently. Dad enjoyed good food and remained a robust man to the end. Born in Cenad, Romania of Serbian descent he came to Canada in 1927. During the depression he worked as a Gold Miner in Northern Ontario and had fond memories of his time there. After many years as a barber on Drouillard Road in its heyday he retired at the age of 77. Dad loved history, politics, fishing and his family. Predeceased by Kay, his wife of 77 ears (2008) and his grandson David (1995). He was a caring, generous, stalwart father to his 3 daughters Olga, Nada and Bess. He is survived by his 4 remaining grandsons Joe of Seattle, Paul of Alaska, Steve (Georgia) of Seattle and Tom of Alaska as well as 6 great grandchildren. Dad was a man of intelligence and integrity. He was a good citizen who took pride in his heritage and his country. We give thanks for this long life and take pride in the basic values of hard work, honesty, importance of family and sharing that he taught us.
