Glenn Junop

Glenn Stewart Junop Glenn passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 28, 2011 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his brother, Mac; mother, Lillian; stepmother, Lola; father, Sam; granddaughter, Shauna; sisters-in-law, Muriel Hand, Carol Hand; brothers-in-law, Tom Hand, Bob Hand, Smitty Smith, Jack Krivoshein; and nephew, Tom Krivoshein. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, June (nee Hand); sons, Doug (Bev), Duane, Kent (Pat); daughter, Lynn (Doug) McIntyre; grandchildren, Teresa (Ken) Shirley, Trent (Corry), Tammie (Rob) Myers, Jennifer, Mitchell (fiance Kristina), Mathew, Michael, Brandon, Kylee; greatgrandchildren, Jessie, Jeff, James, Ally and Abby Shirley, Camryn and Graeme Junop, George and Charlie Myers; brothers, Gerry (Gladys), Richard, Ray (Betty); sister, Greeta Hogg; brother-in-law, Norm (Sylvia) Hand, sisters-in-law, Irene Krivoshein, Freda Smith, Francis Hand. Glenn lived in the Douglas Plains school district near Asquith until 1951 when he moved to the Avondale district near Delisle and married June Hand. He farmed there for the rest of his life. He drove the school bus for 21 years, was a 4-H leader at Donavon, was secretary of the Avondale snowplow club and coached hockey. His camping progressed from shack tents to tent trailer to a cabin at Candle Lake where many fond memories were made. Although he was born to farm, his greatest love and priority was his family. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Park Funeral Chapel (311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK). Flowers gratefully declined.
