Agnese Ciarlo Obituary

Agnese "Susie" Ciarlo
Watertown
Mrs. Agnese "Susie" "Sisina" (Longo) Ciarlo, 92, of Watertown, formerly of Middlebury and Waterbury, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Donato "Danny" Ciarlo who predeceased her on February 15, 2005.
Susie was born on September 5, 1933, in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy, daughter of the late Domenico and Angela Maria (Guerrera) Longo. At the age of 21 she immigrated to Montreal, Canada from Italy on February 24, 1954 and then to the US to marry Donato on September 24, 1955.
She was a seamstress at Waterbury Garment, Hilda Dress Shop and Leila Dress Shop and then later at General Data Com until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, crocheting, reading and watching UCONN basketball. Agnese dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joy was being around her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Susie leaves to honor and cherish her memory: her daughters, Anna Solla and her husband Maurizio of Wolcott, Antonietta Chieffo and her husband Bernie of Waterbury, Dana Racki and her husband Terry of Middlebury; six grandchildren, Daniel Solla and his wife Nikki, Michael Solla and his wife Diana, Christopher Chieffo and his wife Taylor, Francesca Chieffo, Adriana Woo and her husband Logan , and Jillian Fernandez and her husband Lee; and six great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ella Fernandez, Olivia and Tessa Solla, and Beau and Cole Chieffo. She also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Patricia Longo, a niece, Angela Pelletier and her husband Ron, and two nephews, John Albini and Sal Albini. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sally Ann Ciarlo with whom she lived at the time on June 22, 2024, an infant daughter, Maria Vittoria on February 9, 1957, two brothers, Carlo and Giovanni Longo and a sister, Vittorina Longo.
The Ciarlo family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Jega and Kerri, the VITAS nurses and staff, family and friends for their unwavering kindness, support, and care during this difficult time.
