Pedersen, JoAnn - Palm Desert  
JoAnn Pedersen, 78, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away at McKee Medical Hospice on April 27, 2016. JoAnn was born on September 16, 1937 in Elgin, Illinois to Kenneth George and Verna Crossman (Payne) Youngs. She was a graduate St. Edwards High and Elgin College, both in Elgin, Illinois. At the age of 20 she married Gerry Pedersen on August 23, 1958 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Elgin, Illinois. She and Gerry wintered in Palm Desert, California for many years. While in Palm Desert, JoAnn served on the Board for the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center. Gerry and JoAnn moved to Fort Collins in 1973. This is where Gerry would begin the Pedersen Toyota Car Dealership, which still runs strong today. JoAnn was the Vice President of Pedersen Automotive Group. She also had talents in their advertising and marketing. JoAnn always had a keen eye; she and a friend started an interior decoration business called Elegant Interiors, which she took great passion in creating beautiful home interiors. Gerry and JoAnn were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Fort Collins since the day they moved. JoAnn enjoyed playing tennis and golf as well as bridge and mahjong. JoAnn is survived by her husband, Gerry; sons Mark (Kristi) Pedersen and David Pedersen; daughter Laurie Pedersen; sister Donna Marie Youngs; and three grandchildren, Kyle Wagner, Ryan Wagner and Leihoku Pedersen. Her parents preceded her in death. A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Allnutt Drake Chapel in Fort Collins. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 101 N. Howes St., Fort Collins, CO, 80521. Interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins, CO. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Children's Hospital Colorado, in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, Colorado 80526. Ponto, Robert "Bob" - Loveland  
Robert "Bob" Eugene Ponto, 69, of Loveland died April 22, 2016 at Pathways Hospice Care Center. He was born May 8, 1946 in Worthington, MN to Fritz and Florence Ponto. Bob graduated from Worthington High school in 1964. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served a tour in Vietnam, working in radio intelligence. He was stationed in Guam, Little Creek, VA and Bremerton, VA during his time with the U.S. Navy. After the service Bob returned to school, attending Minnesota State University in Mankato where he earned a degree in business. Bob moved to Loveland, CO in 1983. Bob enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, billiards and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Loveland Moose Lodge. Bob was also an avid supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project. Bob is survived by his son Mitch Ponto (Jes); daughter Regan Ponto-Pezman (Bryan); brother Norb Ponto (Esther) of Brandon, SD; sister Beverly Houska of Canon City, CO; grandchildren Jacob, Maddi and Jackson; nieces Cerise Ivey, Carina Wells and Susie Jensen; nephews Bruce Ponto and Derrick Houska; as well as several great nieces and great nephews. Bob was very close to the Randy Erwin Family, who will miss their family hunting trips together and the Richard Wibbens Family, who has been a part of the Ponto Family for many years and will continue to be. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Robert Houska. Cremation has been completed. A traditional Irish Wake will be held at 685 Ventana Way in Windsor CO on Sunday May 1, 2016 from 2:00pm-4:00pm, please come by to share your memories of Bob. Private graveside services with Military Honors will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. Memorials may be made to the Robert E. Ponto Memorial Fund c/o Viegut Funeral Home to help cover expenses, additional funds will be donated to Pheasants Forever and/or the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Colorado.
