Rev. Archie Cooper

The Rev. Archie Cooper of Fort Collins died July 2, 2011, at Golden Peaks Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Collins.

Archie was born May 21, 1934, in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., to Herschel Cooper and Epsie (Cawthon) Cooper.

Archie attended Life Bible College in Los Angeles, Calif., where he received his license to pastor with the Foursquare International Church. Archie has pastored churches in California, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. He then retired and helped pioneer a new Foursquare Church in Fort Collins. He also worked with the benevolence ministry with Grace Fellowship in Fort Collins. All in all, he served the Foursquare International denomination for over 50 years.

Archie is survived by his children, Janice Schraeder of Fort Collins, Colo., Jerry (Sue) Cooper of Loveland, Bobbi (Jim) Samuel of Fort Collins; sister, Linda (Eldon) Crawford of San Jose, Calif., sister, Marie (Dennis) Craft of Gatesville, Texas. He was loved by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Archie is also survived by Ruby Koeschne whom he met, fell in love with, and had a loving relationship with for six months before being moved to Golden Peaks.

Archie is preceded in death by his father, Herschel Cooper; and mother, Epsie Cooper; wife, Maureen; and brother, Richie Cooper.
