Donnie Lange

Donald Allen 'Donnie' Lange died February 14, 2014 at the Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Fort Collins, CO. He was 59 years old.

He was born May 5, 1954 in Davenport, IA to Donald Ernest and Patsy S.L. (Isaacs) Lange. From birth Donnie was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome. This did not deter him or his parents from a full and rich life.

Donnie attended school in Boulder. He would later work at the sheltered workshop in both Longmont and Boulder. He wanted to bring home a paycheck.

His love of life was exhibited in being an avid Bronco fan; he had a signed John Elway football and his picture taken with Shannon Sharpe at training camp. He also enjoyed Elvis Presley's music. Donnie volunteered at the Senior Center and the Longmont Moose Lodge. He kept his room neat as a pin, doing his own vacuuming and dusting every week.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2008.

Donnie is survived by his mother, Patsy and brother Chris Lange, both of Berthoud; nieces Tricia and Jessica Lange and a great nephew Hunter Christian Lange.

A funeral service will be held 1:30pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:30 on Friday prior to the funeral. Interment at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
