Esther Proctor

Esther Marie Proctor was born in Michigan on September 9, 1927. She was one of 14 children born to Henry and Matilda (Kammerzell) Leinweber. Esther was raised in the Niwot/Longmont area, graduating from Longmont High School in 1945. She then moved to Denver, Colorado where she attended Barnes Business College and worked in the clerical field for Union Station, the Internal Revenue Service and the State of Colorado Division of Rehabilitation. In 1948 Esther married Robert Proctor. They resided in Englewood, Colorado where they raised their children, Steve Proctor and Deb Proctor-Biernat. Bob died in 2001. Many thanks to the staff and residents of the Wexford, Lakeview Commons, and North Shore LTC in Loveland, Colorado for helping Esther to live happily for the past 7 years. In addition to her children, Esther is survived by grandchildren Josh (Jeanette) Proctor of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Kate (Dan) Jilek of Brush, Colorado; 5 great grandchildren; brother Paul Leinweber of Boulder, Colorado; daughter-in-law Sarah Proctor of Fort Morgan, Colorado; son-in-law Larry Biernat of Loveland, Colorado; and a very large extended family. A "Think Pink" Celebration of Esther's life will take place on Friday, May 10th at 1pm at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland. Please where pink, Esther's favorite color. Graveside services will be conducted at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver on Monday, May 13th at 2:15pm, staging area "C".
