Frank Schenk

Frank Schenk, of Loveland, age 82, died on June 15th, 2013 at Pathways Hospice at McKee Medical Center. He was born August 3rd, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Lois (Young) Schenk. He married his childhood sweetheart: Betty Rossnagel in 1951 and they had 3 daughters. In 1956 they moved to Glen Ellyn, IL. Frank was married to Betty until her death in 1999. He said a few months ago: "I've lived a full, long and wonderful life." He always took challenges of life in stride and never complained. As a young man he was a Chicago Fireman for 10 years. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and loved founding, building and running businesses. In 1989 he moved to Loveland. He loved his family and made a real difference in the lives of many people. He was generous, helpful and interested in all of life. After his retirement at age 55, he loved playing cards, oil painting, making leaded glass creations, puzzles, photographs, reading, travel and spending time with family. One of his favorite phrases was: "You can do anything if you put your mind to it." Frank was loved, he loved, he was "successful": Frank is survived by his daughters: Susan (Cliff) Cox, Kimberly Schenk, Bonnell (Barry) Lindstrom, grandchildren: Vanessa and Jacqueline Cox, Benjamin Whiting, Olivia and Spencer Lindstrom, and great grandson Evan, sister-in-law Janice (George) Archambault and many other family members. A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 at 2102 Arron Drive in Loveland Memorial contributions may be made to: The Reading Clinic in care of Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home.
