Jason Mathew Robinson was born on August 3rd, 1972 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Gerald Lloyd Robinson and Patricia (Triss) Allen Robinson. He died on May 4, 2013 in Arizona after a 2 year battle with a rare form of Lymphoma. Jason fought cancer like everything else he had ever done in his life and outlived the odds given him. His strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried him through his 2 year battle. He lived in Fort Collins and attended Bennett Elementary School through the 4th grade. In 1982 his family moved to a ranch near Masonville, Colorado where he attended Big Thompson Elementary, Walt Clark Junior High, and Thompson Valley High School. He graduated in 1990. In high school he played football, basketball, and track. He was named the Reporter
Herald Male Athlete of the Year in 1990. He was later inducted into Thompson Valley's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. After high school, he went to Chadron State College on a basketball scholarship and was able to play on the same team with his brothers Josh and Jeremy. He was named 1st team all-RMAC and was 1st team on the World Herald's Nebraska NCAA Division II All-Star team as a senior in 1993-94. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1994. It is there he met his future wife, Tresha Aline Hill. They married on April 22, 1995. In 1999, they moved to Arizona where Tresha joined the staff at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre and Jason continued to work as a Farrier and a Horse Trainer. Tresha and Jason welcomed 3 beautiful children into their family: Ty Mathew in 2001, Truitt Jay in 2003, and Tanner May in 2006. In 2009, he was inducted in the Chadron State Hall of Fame. Jason was very quiet by nature, but those who knew him best knew his great sense of humor. Jason was admired for his work ethic, integrity, and loyalty. He was extremely close to his brothers and a strong protector of his mom, wife, and children. His hobbies included a yearly fishing trip with his brothers and close friends, coaching his children in various sports, riding horses, and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Tresha and their 3 children Ty, Truitt, and Tanner, his mom, Triss, 2 brothers Josh (Shari) and Jeremy (Jamie) and their children Cole, Kate, Kennedy, Cody, Clay, and Caddis. His wife's parents Charlie and Deb Hill, brother-in-law Shane Hill and his 3 children Shaley, Katie, and Cord. In addition, to his family he is survived by many dear friends that he made through the years as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerry, in August 2010. Contributions can be made to the Jason Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund which will be awarded to the best 3 sport athlete at Thompson Valley High School. This will be a college scholarship that they can apply for starting in the Spring of 2014. In addition, 529s, college scholarship funds, are being set up for his 3 children. Memorial services will be held at Rock Point Church at 24759 S Power Rd, Queen Creek, Arizona on May 31st at 2:30pm. A reception will follow at the Doubletree Hotel at 1800 S San Tan Village Parkway, Gilbert, Arizona. There will be a block of rooms reserved under Robinson Memorial (480-809-4100). An additional Memorial Service will be held in Loveland, Colorado in June.
