Lanie A. Fogleman, 91, of Loveland, CO, passed away July 13, 2014 in Loveland. Lanie was born on July 31, 1922 in St. Francis, KS, to Jacob and Bertha (Byerly) Reichert. The second of six children, Lanie moved to Loveland with her family in 1934. Lanie married William L. "Bill" Fogleman on October 7, 1940, in Loveland. Bill and Lanie were married 44 years when Bill died on September 14, 1985. They had five children. Lanie was a homemaker who cared for her family, was a great cook and always welcomed guests for meals. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, loved country music, Saturday night dances and enjoyed playing cards. Lanie served as an election judge many years, was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and a women's sewing club. She will be remembered for her big smile, hearty laugh, kindness and loving spirit. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Rhonda and Bob McDonnell, Gail and Dave Shepard, Cheryl and Jim Siegrist, all of Loveland, sister Lila Seele of Johnstown, sisters-in-law Helen Reichert of Pueblo, Pearl Reichert of Loveland, Joy Moore and Betty Humrich of California, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, sons Dale and Billy Gene Fogleman, grandson Zachary Siegrist, brothers Ed and Raymond "Rex" Reichert, sisters Shirley Cross and Betty Reichert. Lanie's family acknowledges and thanks all the personnel at Loveland Good Samaritan--especially the staff of Heritage Square for the excellent care, companionship, love and support they provided for Lanie and her family.
