Lawrence Wilson

My husband, Larry Wilson, passed away June 2, 2014 after a long and hard fight with cancer. Always hopeful, always positive, Larry filled our lives with daily laughter and love. He was my Hero! Larry was born in Great Bend, Kansas on August 2, 1953 to Lawrence and Connie Wilson, the oldest of 3 children. Larry completed High School in Borger, Texas and attended West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, where he met Tracy Moser who became the love of his life. Larry and Tracy had their fairy tale wedding in September 12, 1976 in Borger. After honeymooning in Colorado, they soon decided to set down roots in the beautiful town of Loveland. Larry opened up Studio Manor Photography and operated it from 1977-2013 where he spent a lifetime making photographic memories for families; babies, high school seniors and their weddings. Larry and Tracy are so grateful to Loveland for opening up their arms when they arrived in 1976. Larry and Tracy lived in Berthoud, Colorado on a small acreage property where he could enjoy his love of horses. Larry, Tracy and daughter, Lizzy spent 19 fun-filled years competing in horse shows with the local saddle clubs and the Quarter Horse Circuit. As a family, they experienced the thrill of competing on a national level at the World Quarter Horse Shows and Congress Shows. The relationships they formed in this wonderful quarter horse community not only became their second family but created their most cherished memories. Larry later teamed up with Tracy in her Real Estate business, affording her the opportunity of being one of the few Realtors who had a professional photographer to photograph her properties. No matter what Larry and Tracy did, it was always together as a team! In recent years, Larry was employed at Vergent Products in Loveland. This local company opened its arms to Larry and he quickly became a member of the Vergent family. Larry was preceded in death by his Father, Lawrence Wilson, Sr. He leaves behind a daughter, Danielle Elizabeth-Jean Wilson, wife, Tracy Lynn Wilson, his beautiful Mother, Connie Wilson, a sister, Cindy Dickey and brother, Craig Wilson both of Borger, Texas. Larry never met a stranger! Anyone that crossed paths with Larry quickly became his friend. I fell in love with this big, tall Texan almost 40 years ago. Thank you,'s been a wonderful life together. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, at First Christian Church, 2000 N. Lincoln Avenue in Loveland. Viewing will take place from 3:00 - 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland. Interment will be held at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
