Lea Schroeder

Lea Esther Schroeder, 81, of Loveland died February 23, 2014 at the Windsor Health Care Center. She was born May 8, 1932 in Denver, Colorado to Frank and Estelle (Arnold) Morrison. Lea graduated in Denver from South High in 1951. She was also a graduate of Barnes Business School in Denver. On August 10, 1952 she married Russell Schroeder in Denver during the Korean War. Russell and Lea celebrated their 25th and 30th anniversaries in Hawaii and would have celebrated their 62nd anniversary this year. Lea was a skilled homemaker, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) and a member of the local chapter of PEO. She kept a doll collection that was given to her by her father which included dolls from many countries and an original Shirley Temple doll. She was also a member of the Loveland Dollers (Doll Club). Lea is survived by her husband Russell Schroeder of Loveland; son John R. Schroeder (Jane) of Loveland; daughter Gay Lea Hulke (William) of Tempe, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Cameo Lea and grandson Isaiah. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, 2:00 P.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
