Leslie Paul Peats, age 82, passed away peacefully in his home in Loveland, Colorado on December 28th, 2013. Leslie was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 6th 1931 to parents Willie May Shultz and Paul Joseph Peats. He served honorably in the United States Air Force
and was a proud veteran of the Korean War
. He graduated from Colorado State University and it was there he met his wife, Mildred Josephine Janitell. They lived in many towns throughout Colorado and eventually settled in Littleton where they chose to raise their family. Leslie is survived by his son Robert, his two children Connor and Ryann, and also by his grandson Nathan Simmons, his wife Jennifer and two great granddaughters Tabitha and Phoebe. He was married for 55 years and preceded in death by his wife Mildred and his daughter Kathy. A service was held on Thursday January 2nd, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs for Leslie's family and friends. Leslie was a family man, a good friend, a great father and grandfather. His caring and jovial spirit will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
