Ralph B. Lewis, 79 of Loveland, passed away peacefully at his home in Loveland, CO on Sunday, September 29, 2013. Ralph Bernard Lewis was born in Fairbury, Nebraska on January 2, 1934 to Charles E. and Ethel C. (Koehler) Lewis. Following high school, Ralph enlisted in the US Navy
and was discharged in October 1955. Ralph met and later married Bessie M. Mapel in Fairbury, Nebraska on April 20, 1958 and they moved to Loveland in 1965 from Lincoln, Nebraska. Ralph was a residential carpenter and often worked with his son, Roger, in home building. Ralph was faithful and loving to his family. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for twenty five years. Ralph enjoyed working with his hands, building furniture, remote controlled boats and planes, and many other projects. Ralph is survived by his wife Bess Lewis, son Roger (Margie) Lewis and daughter Denise Bray of Loveland and grandchildren Brent Lewis of Loveland, Sarah (Preston) Pierson of Windsor, and Jennifer (Bradley) Mayhew of Parker. Also surviving are his brothers Lyle (Joan) Lewis of Grand Junction, Leroy Lewis of Firth, NE and Richard (Fran) Lewis of Adams, NE. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church. Private family inurnment will be in Loveland Burial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund or Harden Hospice of Colorado in care of Kibbey Fishburn Funeral Home.
