Richard Lee "Dick" Hoskinson, 59, passed away in his sleep at home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Loveland, Colorado. Richard was born April 29, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his daughter Stacy Swanson, his brother Rick Hoskinson, his sister Christine Alioto, his mother LaVena White, his niece Sandy Grover, and his Nephew G.R. Hoskinson and extended family and many loving friends and co-workers. He was predeeded in death by his father, Edward Hoskinson who encouraged Richard to work in the construction trade, to work in the community and join the Elks and to obtain a pilot's license to fly his father's Piper plane. Richard graduated from Arvada West High School in 1971, and was working on an Engineering degree at the Front Range Community College in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Richard worked in the construction trade all of his life, and was a building inspector for the City of Livemore, California; the City of Westminster and the City of Loveland, Colorado. He loved the Rocky Mountains and he enjoyed leading trail rides on horseback and on snowmobiles, hiking and snowskiing. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Viegut Funeral Home, 1616 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, Colorado 80538.
