Wayne Kline

Wayne L Kline departed peacefully Friday, January 24, 2014, with his family gathered around him. He was born May 9, 1926 in Fillmore, MO., to William Grover and Lydia (Fleenor) Kline. He was the oldest of nine children. He attended schools and worked on his parent's farm until the 8th grade, when he had to leave school to help raise his siblings. He was the last surviving sibling of six brothers and two sisters. He married Jacqueline (Jackie) J Steele in Marysville, KS., March 11, 1946. They moved to Loveland with Jackie's parents, the late C. K. (Pat) and Kathleen (Russell) Steele and Jackie's sister, Donna. He and Jackie had 3 sons and 1 daughter. Wayne worked at the US Gypsum Company for 13 years and Loveland Ready Mix for 30 years until his retirement in 1991. He was a life member of Loveland BPOE Elks, the NRA, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and numerous bowling leagues. He loved elk hunting and shot his last and largest elk when he was 85. He loved his family and set a great example of faithfulness in marriage. He imparted a great work ethic to his children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters, and his mother and father-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jackie of Loveland, sister-in-law, Donna Steele of Estes Park, CO; sister-in-law, Peggy Lance of Maryville, MO and her son's and family. June Steele, widow of C. K. (Pat) Steele; nephews Ray (Ruth) Kline and Danny Drager of Loveland and his sons, Lee (Kathi) of Loveland, William (Deborah) of Windsor, David (Kathy) of Loveland and daughter, Linda of Loveland, as well as six grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark) Miller of Loveland; Kellie (Mike) Ady of Denver, Seth Kline Ft. Collins, Noah (Lesondra) Kline of Aurora, CO. Christopher (Rachel) Kline of Windsor, Marja (Bill) Sandage of Loveland, CO., and 9 great grandchildren -Morgan, Kailee, Connor, Genna, Lilly, Elijah, Shawn, Jane and Jameson. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will held at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 am.
