William Busch

William Carl Busch Jr., 89, of Loveland died November 21, 2012 at Pathways Hospice Care Center. He was born March 13, 1923 in Evansville, Indiana to William and Irma (Rohlander) Busch. William grew up in Indiana and was a Hoosier fan; he attended Washburn College andlived in Pierce, Colorado before moving to Loveland 25 years ago. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in rocket and torpedo development. For 17 years he worked as a recruiter for Boeing Aircraft Company and was also a tool and die maker, owned a mobile home park, was a supervisor for International Harvester, worked at Stanley Aviation, and ran a mine for Plateau Resources in Moab, UT. William enjoyed yard work, listening to Johnny Cash and traveling to Hawaii and sports of all types, he especially enjoyed basketball and NASCAR. He was a member of LifeSpring Covenant Church and a member of the Proud American Vets Loveland Chapter, with who he looked forward to having breakfast with every week. After retirement, William loved working at Sandy's Upholstery with his daughter. William is survived by his wife Joan Stefek of Loveland; sons Steve Stefek of Loveland and William Carl Busch III (Kathy) of Berthoud; daughters Barbara Davidson (Bruce) of Snohomish,WA, Sandy Stefek of Loveland, Susie Stefek (Milt) of Ft. Collins, and Judi Bondurant (Ross) of Ft. Collins; brother Tom Busch of Tucson, AZ; sister Elizabeth Freed of Falls Church, VA; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. At William's request cremation has been completed. Private services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver. Go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com for condolences.
