Darwin Sherwood Nash, 71, of Loveland, Colorado passed away February 24, 2013. He was born October 4, 1941 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Alvin E. and Orel O. Nash. He graduated from Chaffey High School in 1959 and received his Associate Degree from Chaffey College. He then attended West Coast University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He lived in Chino Hills, California and moved to Colorado in 1993. He was previously married to Sandra VonHuben. In 1984 he married Diane Nash in Arcadia, California. They lived in Chino Hills, California and moved to Colorado in 1993. Darwin was a Systems Programmer with Aerojet and Unocal. He then accepted a position as Director of Technical Services with Vons Grocery Company, where he met his wife Diane. They were married in 1984 in Arcadia, California. He finished his career as a Systems Programmer with IBM and retired in 2010. Darwin was an avid motorcyclist and loved touring through the mountains, making his annual trip to Sturgis, Colorado. He had his pilot's license and loved flying. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go camping. He also thoroughly enjoyed computers. But most of all, he loved his family and the time he spent with them. Darwin was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fort Collins. He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Laurie (Richard) Caruso of Norco, California, Rhonda (Brian) Martello of Eastvale, California, and Jennifer (Byron) Nash of Loveland, Colorado; grandchildren, Katrina (Donny) Van Hoff, Chris (Alison) Doucette, Cory Caruso, Kara Caruso, Kelli Caruso, Nico Martello, Lexy Martello, Kyle Collins and Madison Nash; great-grandchildren, Bentlee and Chase Van Hoff, Connor, Cheyenne and Violet Doucette. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Orel Nash. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Fort Collins.
