David Rouch Obituary

The Lord called home His good and faithful servant when David Brian Rouch, 51, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Thursday, April 25, 2013. His passing was the sudden and unexpected result of a pulmonary embolism, and he crossed over peacefully while surrounded by his family.

Self-nicknamed "Elvis," David was a man of conviction and humor, loyalty and zeal, mischief and faithfulness. He enjoyed spending time in the Lord's creation, hiking, fishing, and camping throughout the Rocky Mountains. He was at his best when he had an audience, and his affinity for Native American culture, chocolate desserts, adventure, and fireworks has helped ensure countless warm memories among his seemingly numberless friends and family. David excelled in his positions at Coors Brewing Company, Agilent Technologies, RockySoft, Avaya, and most recently Aviall-but his greatest source of pride was always his titles of Husband, Father, and Grandfather. His level of commitment and unwavering devotion to those duties endures as his most cherished legacy. David was reunited with his father William, mother Ada, and uncle Roy. He is survived by his wife Terry, daughter Sarah (Luke), sons Derek (Carrie) and Brock (Brenda), brothers Mark (Cindi) and Craig (Carol), sister Karla (Mike), sisters-in-law Tammy (Greg) and Misty, brother-in-law Rick (Lauren), grandchildren Benjamin, Hannah, Rowen, Abigail, Isaac, Olivia, and Rocky-as well as many well-loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10 at 2:30 PM at Trinity Baptist Church in Wheat Ridge. A reception will immediately follow at the Arbor House in Golden's Maple Grove Park. Terry, Sarah, Derek, and Brock would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the family and friends who stayed by David's bedside during his final moments, as well as to those whose prayers were felt from afar. The outpouring of sympathy and support has been a comfort to us all, and it is greatly appreciated.
